General Manager 2026 New Year’s Message

It has been three months since I took office in September, and it feels like it has flown by. Since then, I have gained a clearer view of the market environment and industry dynamics in which IHI-Sullair operates. As we move into the New Year, we are entering a phase where we will proceed with clearer priorities and a more focused approach.
IHI-Sullair has over 20 years of history since its establishment and has successfully navigated multiple market cycles. Throughout this journey, we have built a solid foundation and accumulated valuable experience that continues to support our development today. As the market environment evolves, new challenges and new opportunities are emerging side by side.
In recent years, changes in industrial structures, competition, and customer preferences, and decision-making protocol have accelerated. Against this backdrop, I believe it is essential for us to continuously review how we operate and how we grow, ensuring that our business remains resilient, competitive, and well positioned for the future.
I fully respect the efforts every employee has made so far, and it is precisely these efforts have enabled IHI-Sullair to reach where it is today. At the same time, we recognize that past success alone is not sufficient to secure future growth. Even business models that once proved effective must continue to evolve as the market changes.
Today’s competitive environment is becoming increasingly dynamic. Multinational corporations are leveraging their financial strength to expand their business boundaries. Meanwhile, new entrants are bringing fresh momentum to the market. In such an environment, adaptability and responsiveness are more important than ever.
As I mentioned in my first speech upon taking office, Darwin’s theory of evolution reminds us that those who adapt to change survive. As we look ahead, this message remains highly relevant: the world is changing, and standing still is not an option.
One of IHI-Sullair’s most enduring strengths lies in our people. Many employees have been with the company since its early days, carrying forward the founding spirit that drove our initial growth. At the same time, younger employees continue to bring fresh perspectives, sometimes unconventional ideas that have, time after time, led to great successes. I firmly believe that this combination remains a powerful source of strength for IHI-Sullair.
Finally, as we approach the New Year, I have chosen a message to share with you:
"Growth and Comfort do not coexist."
These words capture an important truth. Change may bring uncertainty, but it also creates opportunities. By stepping beyond our comfort zones and embracing challenges, we create space for progress, innovation, and long-term growth.
Looking ahead to 2026, I hope that each of us takes a brave step forward—both individually and together—toward innovation, excellence, and growth.
Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year!
